Flora in Jim Corbett

The popular known tiger reserve Jim Corbett National Park is famous over the world with its natural essence in terms of specific flora that forms a freshwater flora and alpine flora, as Corbett has flora species spread in a huge area of the forests. The different type of trees or flora available in Corbett includes Khair-Sisso forests; Sal forests Mountains, Chaur, and rivers and streams with distinct collection of plants. As per the botanical survey, India’s Jim Corbett Park has over 600 species of plants, trees, ferns, grass, herbs, bamboos, shrubs, and climbers. There are many different kingdoms of plants in there which make the wildlife destination so relaxing for those who are busy with their schedule throughout the year. Along with the wild animals, Jim Corbett National Park has a wide range of mesmerizing flora too.

Trees:

The most noticeable trees are Sal, Khair, and Sissoo originating in Corbett. Various species add a sound diversity in Jim Corbett and is scattered all over the park. Chir Pine is the only alpine found in the park. Also, some part of the Corbett is overwhelming with Bamboo forests. Male Bamboo i.e. Dendrocalamus strictus is the main specie with a bundle of stout stems and shining papery stem sheaths.

Flowering Trees: Flowering trees available in Corbett for the view spread its beautiful colors major of which is Green, as it is one of the basic colors of nature. Hence the Corbett have accumulated many flowering plants, with the name like Kachnar (Bauhinia Variegata) having a white pink flowers, Semal (Bombax ceiba) with vast red blooming flowers, that are well known as the blaze of forest with sparkling and nice orange flowers,

Madaar and Indian Coral (Erythrina Indica) as red flowers and Amaltas (Cassia fistula) with vivid yellow chandelier like a flower.

Well, some species of trees didn’t emerged naturally in the park because were unnaturally planted around the living area of the park. This includes Teak (Tectona grandis), Silver Oak (Grevillea robusta), Eucalyptus, Jacaranda (Jacaranda mimosa folia), and Bottlebrush (Callistemon viminalis), that view around the forest rest houses in the middle of Corbett Tiger Reserve area.

Shrubs:

The Corbett forest is filled with many species of Ber (Zizyphus) that are found in open areas and prove to be advantageous for many animals as well as birds for giving food as well as habitat to them. Maror Phali (Helicteres isora) is a simple and noticeable shrub. If you see the fruits of this marvelous shrub, they are in the shape of curled rising shell. Jhau is a divergent type of shrubs that endow with the Ramganga basin on sandy and rocky soil of the area.

Bamboo:

It is very interesting in terms of analyzing the vegetation of Corbett National Park. Hence we get some of the Corbett vegetation section is covered with bamboo forest. The existing species like Male bamboo that gathers as stout stems with bright papery stem cover.
